The Reception Counter Your Dermatology Practice Has Been Waiting For

Your patients arrive with real concerns. The moment they walk through your door, your reception area tells them what kind of practice they chose.
Dermatology practices operate at the intersection of clinical medicine and aesthetic expectation. Your patients are not just seeking a diagnosis -- they are investing in their skin, their appearance, and their confidence. A worn, outdated reception counter signals the wrong message before a single word is spoken.
The Motivo reception counter is built for practices where the environment is part of the brand. Surfaced in high-performance laminate that handles daily disinfection without degrading, fully assembled and ready to place, sized for real practice layouts -- this is the counter your reception desk has needed.

Arrives Ready for Business - Zero Assembly Required
At Motivo, we understand that your time is best spent with patients, not assembling furniture or waiting on a contractor.
-
Fully Built, Not "Flat-Packed": Every Motivo Medical Spa Reception Module is hand-built in the USA and ships fully assembled. We glue, screw, and finish every unit so it arrives as a solid, single piece of professional equipment.
-
No Specialized Labor Needed: Since the units are already finished, you don't need a specialized contractor for assembly. Once the unit is off the truck, it simply needs to be moved into your desired position.
-
Flexible Delivery Options: Our products ship via freight in secure, professional crating. If your clinic does not have a loading dock or forklift, we can easily coordinate lift-gate delivery to get your counters safely to the ground.

Your Build-Out Counter Was Never Designed for a Dermatology Practice
Most Dermatology Practices Are Running a Reception Desk That Was Never Designed for This Environment
When you signed your lease and built out your space, the contractor spec'd whatever reception counter fit the budget and the timeline. It may have looked acceptable on day one. But dermatology practices disinfect surfaces constantly -- exam preparation, between-patient protocols, end-of-day cleaning. Standard construction-grade materials are not built for that. The laminate lifts. The edges chip. The surface yellows or stains. And your patients notice -- even if they don't say anything.

COMMON COMPETITOR FAILURE
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this counter hold up to the disinfectants we use between patients?
Yes -- and that was a core design consideration. The surface is a high-performance laminate engineered for exactly this kind of daily clinical use. It resists the quaternary ammonium compounds, alcohol-based disinfectants, and surface sprays that dermatology and medical practices use routinely. Unlike standard millwork or furniture-grade laminates, this surface is built to handle repeated disinfection without degrading, lifting, or yellowing over time.
We have two staff members at the front desk. Which size is right for us?
For a two-person front desk, the 72-inch counter is the right choice -- it gives both staff members dedicated workspace without crowding, and it makes a stronger visual impression in a larger reception area. If you are a solo provider or have a more compact reception space, the 48-inch is designed for exactly that layout. Both sizes are available in White, Warm White, and Light Gray, with custom color available on request.
Can we get our practice name on the counter?
Yes. We offer a custom branding and graphics option that allows you to add your practice name, logo, or a branded graphic panel to the counter face. This is the same approach used by practices that want the reception counter to function as a brand statement -- not just a functional surface. Ask about this option when you request your freight quote.
Does this require any installation or a contractor?
None. The counter ships 100% fully assembled on a custom pallet. There are no tools required, no contractor needed, and no construction timeline to manage. Your team places it, connects any equipment you are running on the surface, and you are done. For most practices, setup takes less than an hour.
How long does delivery take?
Each counter is hand-built to order, so lead time varies depending on current production volume. When you request a freight quote, we will give you a current lead time estimate along with freight pricing for your location. Delivery is LTL freight -- secured to a custom pallet -- with lift-gate service available if your location does not have a loading dock.
Our office does not have a loading dock. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Lift-gate delivery is available and is the standard option for medical and professional office locations. The carrier brings the counter to ground level at your location. Your team moves it inside -- the counter is fully assembled but manageable with two people and basic moving equipment.
